Care Instructions for Jewellery

General
Please try to keep your metal jewellery dry to avoid damage or tarnishing.

Beaded pieces
If possible, please store hanging or lying a flat surface.
Do not clean with a cleaning solution or water as this may cause the piece to become mishapen.

Copper
I coat all my copper jewellery in wax so it doesn't tarnish as fast.
You can use a silver polishing cloth to clean copper, but it may remove the wax coating.

Sterling Silver
Wipe with a silver polishing cloth.
You can clean sterling silver jewellery in warm soapy water, but make sure it is dried thoroughly right after and there are no non-waterproof comonents.

Gold Filled
You can clean gold filled jewellery in warm soapy water, but make sure it is dried thoroughly right after and there are no non-waterproof components.

Niobium
You can clean niobium jewellery in warm soapy water with a soft cloth as long as there are no non-waterproof components, but do not use abrasives as this may remove the colour.

Cabochons and Gemstones
Do not polish with a silver polishing cloth and do not use cleaning solutions aside from a mild detergent. Avoid submerging the stones in water as water may get trapped behind the stone. Dry thoroughly.

Faceted Stones
These stones can be cleaned in warm soapy water and a soft brush. Dry thoroughly after.

Painted Glass
Do not get wet or use wet cleaning solutions. Some of these pieces contain paper which may not be sealed fully by the stone and metal.
